Dr. McCulloch is born and raised in New York City. He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in Princeton, NJ, and then stayed in the Garden State, receiving his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson. He returned to New York City for his training in Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Luke's / Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Finally, he completed a prestigious fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA. For his initial years in practice, Dr. McCulloch was located in Southern California where he developed one of the busiest practices in the southwestern United States. He returned home to New York City to be near family and friends, and since then has introduced a number of innovative technologies and techniques to the area.
Dr. McCulloch has distinguished himself in the field of joint preservation and adult joint reconstruction, traveling throughout the country to instruct other surgeons at conferences and in the operating room, in minimally invasive and advanced techniques, such as Direct Anterior Total Hip Arthroplasty, Total Hip Resurfacing, and Custom Fit Total Knee Arthroplasty. Additionally, he works with orthopaedic companies and independently, with several of his own patents, to develop new products and refine procedures and equipment. Dr. McCulloch has also organized the establishment or evolution of Joint Arthroplasty programs at a number of different hospitals and medical institutions.
Dr. Kenneth McCulloch is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an attending surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital, NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, NYU Medical Center, and New York Downtown Hospital. He is the Chief of the Joint Arthroplasty Department at New York Downtown Hospital and an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the New York University School of Medicine.
